Barriers


The precast road barriers, modular road safety devices, are used to channel the traffic flow or for temporary demarcations of both construction and non-construction sites and to handle particular emergency situations. The barrier profile, variable accordingly to the destination of use and the performance criteria, is furthermore designed to minimize the damage to vehicles in case of accidental contact.

The considerable investments for the continuous research by the operators in the sector, shared and supported by our company as well, have led in the last years to the design and realization of new types of products to be used as a central traffic divider, lateral delineation and artworks, with the final goal of improving safety conditions for road users.
And today, in fact, the concrete road barriers show by far the best ability to redirect and control in the event of car collisions, goods vehicles and motorcycles, minimizing moreover the routine and extraordinary maintenance in the areas affected by road accidents.

The choices made by Crezza to focus, since its beginnings, on the prefabrication of concrete road barriers has so far been effective. Encouraged by the results achieved, the commitment to continue investing in terms of research, development and innovation is a diktat for the future.



Certified barriers

ET100 H2 – H4b

Road safety barrier type ET100 with EC marking, certified class H2 and H4b lateral delineation, H4b single-row traffic divider and median traffic barrier. Prefabricated with concrete with resistance class C35/45 and armor in steel B450C. On the top there is a rolled barrier diameter 28 step 10 in steel C45 embedded in the concrete that, with suitable hose coupling in steel PRBO 35MnPb 10, permits the mutual head connection between contiguous elements. An additional connection is obtainable to the barrier foot by means of no. 2 galvanised steel plates with dimension 280x80x10mm connected by no. 2 galvanised steel bars with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 galvanised M24.

Traffic divider AE H3NJ100 – H3

Road safety barrier type E-H3NJ100 with EC marking certified class H3-W8 for single-raw traffic divider. Prefabricated with concrete resistance class C35/45 and armor in steel B450A/C.
On the top there is a rolled bar diameter 30 mm step 10 in steel C45 embedded in the concrete that, by means of suitable hose in steel PRBO 35MnPb 10, permits the mutual head connection between the contiguous elements. Additional connection is obtainable to the barrier foot by means of 2 plates in galvanised steel with dimension 280x80x10 mm connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 galvanised nuts M24

Traffic divider H120 – H4b

Safety road barrier type H120 with EC marking, certified class H4b single-raw traffic divider and median traffic divider. Prefabricated with concrete resistance class C40/50 and armor in steel B450C. On the top there is a rolled bar diameter 30 step 10 in steel C45 embedded in the concrete that, by means of the suitable hose in steel PRBO 35MnPb 10, permits the mutual head connection between the contiguous elements. An additional connection is obtainable to the barrier foot by means of no. 2 galvanised steel plates with dimension 280x80x10mm connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 galvanised nuts M24.

ET98BL – H2

Impact-resistant road safety barrier type ET98 for lateral delineation use, tested in containment class H2- W5. Prefabricated and built in a single pour with concrete with resistance class C35/45 and exposure class XC4, XS2, XD3, XF1, XA1, with “Trapezium” profile dimensions cm 40×98 L=600 cm (or L=300 cm), head width cm 18, reinforced with rigid steel cage B450 A/C, with a concrete cover not less than 20 mm, and on the upper part with a horizontal rolled steel bar C45 step 10 and diameter mm 28 and complete with junction hoses.

Bridge Edge Beam ET98BP – H2

Impact-resistant road safety barrier type ET98 for bridge edge beam use, tested in containment class H2. Prefabricated and cast in one single pour with concrete with resistance class C35/45 and exposure class XC4, XS2, XD3, XF1, XA1, with “Trapezium” profile dimensions cm 40×98 L=600 cm (or L=300 cm), head width cm 18, reinforced with rigid steel cage B450/C, with a concrete cover not less than 20 mm, and on the upper part with a horizontal rolled steel bar C45 step 10 and diameter mm 28, and complete with junction hoses. The terminal elements will be anchored to the ground with cemented poles or stuck in ground (steel C 120x80x30x6 mm of length 0,60 with plate 320x280x12 mm welded to the base, anchored to the edge beam by means of no. 4 chemical anchors M20 and placed inside cavities arranged in the intrados). On the edge beam of the bridge some shelves will be mounted, as designed, anchored to the edge beam itself with two chemical vials M 20 and steel bars 8.8 M20 x 260. The shelves will be placed in the cavity of the passage of waters of the barriers.

Bridge Edge Beam NJBP – H4b

Concrete barrier for bridge edge beam with EC marking, containment class H4b, destination for artworks. Prefabricated with concrete with resistance class C35/45 and steel armor B450C and steel C45. On the top there is a rolled bar diameter 28 step 10 in steel C45 embedded in the concrete that, through a suitable steel hose PRBO 35MnPb 10, permits the mutual head connection between contiguous elements. An additional connection is obtainable to the lower edge beam by means of a cementing bar M20 in steel class 8.8 and by a steel plate with dimension 60x80x8mm. The barrier has moreover a steel handrail.

Redirective ET100BLG – H2

Safety road barrier with redirective profile with EC marking certified class H2. Prefabricated with concrete with resistance class C35/45 and steel armor B450A and B450C. The barrier is certified for the protection of lateral walls both in tunnels and outside, where specifically requested, and arranged for the installation of illuminated signs.

E75 – H1

Road safety barrier type E75 with EC marking, certified class H1 for lateral delineation and traffic divider. Prefabricated and built in a single pour of concrete resistance class C35/45 and exposure class XC4, XS2, XD3, XF1, XA1, with “Trapezium” profile dimensions cm 30×75 L=598 cm, head width cm 23, reinforced with rigid steel cage B450/C, with a concrete cover not less than 20 mm, and equipped on the upper part of rolled bar in steel C45 horizontal step 10 and diameter mm 22, and complete with junction hoses. Certified EC.

Traffic divider ET105BT – H4b

Median barrier with interposed earth type ET105BT with EC marking certified class H4b median traffic divider. Prefabricated with Concrete class C35/45 and armor in steel B450C.


Other types without certification

New Jersey single-raw 4A.1.1

Precast barrier with concrete RcK> 450 daN/cmq and steel armor Fe B44K at a rate of 68 kg./element ca.
Dimensions: length ml. 6,20; width ml. 0,620 (base)/0,136 (top); height ml. 1,00. Weight kg./each element 3.600 ca. The mutual connection between the contiguous elements is at the barrier foot by means of no. 2 plates in galvanised steel with dimension mm 280x75x10 connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 nuts M24.
Suggested for: motorways as a temporary arrangement of traffic dividers during the works of enlargement and/or as a first phase for realizing median traffic divider with earth interposed. Permanent uses on roads of low goods transport.

New Jersey 4A.1.2

Precast barrier with concrete RcK> 450 daN/cmq and steel armor Fe B44K at a rate of 116 kg./element, ca (with upper connection plate) , 122 kg./element ca (with bar dywidag included).
Dimensions: length ml. 6,20; width ml. 0,620 (base)/0,136 (top); hight ml.1,00. Weight kg./each element 3.600 ca.
The mutual connection between the contiguous elements is: at the barrier foot with no. 2 plates in galvanised steel with dimensions mm 280x75x10 connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 nuts M24. On the top the connection is by no. 2 plates in galvanised steel mm 280x75x10 connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 nuts M24 for the element with upper connection plate, and with bar dywidag Ø20 embedded in concrete with relative compensation hose for the element with bar dywidag.
Suggested for: trunkroads type III° and main urban roads and roads of mainly medium traffic – light. Motorways with traffic divider of width > 2,40 m.

New Jersey 4A.1.4

Precast median barrier with concrete RcK> 450 daN/cmq and armor in steel Fe B44K at a rate of 68 kg./element ca. Dimensions: length ml 6,20; width ml 0,480 (base)/0,136 (top); height ml. 1,00. Weight kg./each element 3.600 ca. The mutual connection between the contiguous elements is at the barrier foot through no. 2 plates in galvanised steel with dimension mm 280x75x10 connected by no. 2 bars in galvanised steel with threaded ends M24 and no. 4 nuts M24. Suggested for: dual carriageway trunkroads type II° in the presence of mostly medium – heavy traffic. Motorways with medium-heavy traffic and traffic divider of width between 2.40 and 3.00 m.

New Jersey 4B.1.1

Precast barrier with concrete RcK> 450 daN/cmq and armor in steel Fe B44K at a rate of 138 kg./element ca (with bar dywidag included). Dimensions: length ml. 5,98; width ml. 0,500 (base)/0,230 (top); height ml. 1,00. Weight kg./each element 4.600 ca.
on the top there is a bar dywidag Ø 20 embedded in the concrete that, through a suitable compensation hose, permits the mutual head connection between the contiguous elements. An additional connection is to the foot through a hot galvanised steel plate with dimensions 280x75x10 mm complete with locking bolts for each coupling.
The barrier also comprises:
– no. 4 plates of dimension 100x150x10 mm with hole diameter 50mm, embedded in the casting for the installation of screw anchors Liebig Ultraplus threaded M16 or similar, necessary for anchoring the barriers to the edge beam in concrete;
– in the version predisposed for the handrail assembly are two anchors in steel embedded in the concrete for the handrail uprights each one consisting of no. 4 steel bars dywidag Ø 20 and galvanised steel striking plate dimensions mm 280x210x8.

Suggested for: edges of viaducts of new and old construction. Trunkroads in detected height over 6.00 m. and/or approach art works.
