At the top, a Ø 20 Dywidag bar is embedded in the concrete, allowing mutual connection between adjacent elements via a compensation sleeve. Additional connection at the base is made using a hot-dip galvanized steel plate of dimensions 280x75x10 mm with tightening bolts for each joint.

The road barrier also includes:

• 4 steel plates of dimensions 100x150x10 mm with a 50 mm diameter hole, embedded in the cast for the placement of Liebig Ultraplus M16 threaded expansion anchors or similar, necessary for anchoring the barriers to the concrete curb;
• for versions equipped with a handrail, 2 steel anchor points embedded in the concrete for the handrail posts, each consisting of 4 Ø 20 Dywidag steel bars and a galvanized steel counterplate of dimensions 280x210x8 mm.

This New Jersey barrier model is used on viaduct edges, both new and old constructions, extra urban roads with embankments higher than 6.00 meters, and/or at the approach to artworks.

This New Jersey barrier model is suitable for use on type III extra urban roads and primary urban roads with medium-light traffic, as well as on motorways with a divider width greater than 2.40 meters.

This barrier is certified for the protection of sidewalls, both in tunnels and outdoors where specifically required, and is designed to accommodate appropriate illuminated signage.

At the top there is a rolled bar of 28 mm diameter, pitch 10, made of C45 steel embedded in the concrete which, by means of a suitable sleeve made of PRBO 35MnPb 10 steel, allows the mutual connection at the head between adjoining elements. A further connection is made to the lower kerb by means of an M20 grouting bar in cl. 8.8 steel and by means of a steel plate with dimensions 60x80x8 mm.

The NJBP-H4B barrier is equipped with a steel handrail tube at the top.
